Ways to import
You can bring contacts in from wherever they already live:
- Upload a CSV or Excel file directly.

Formatting numbers
Store numbers in full international format where you can. If a column is missing a country code, set the default country on import so every number resolves correctly.
Only import contacts who opted in
Import only people who have agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp. A clean, consented list is what keeps your delivery high and your number safe — see our Acceptable Use Policy for the details.
