Refund Policy

We want you to be confident starting with SmartEngage. This policy explains when subscription fees can be refunded and how to ask for one.

Last updated

1. Free to start

You can open a SmartEngage account and try the service without a credit card. That means you can see whether it fits your business before any subscription fee is due.

2. Subscription money-back window

If you purchase a new paid subscription and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund of that subscription fee within 14 days of the purchase. We will refund the fee to your original payment method.

3. Official WhatsApp charges

The official WhatsApp charges you incur through the Cloud API are set and billed by Meta, not by SmartEngage — we add no markup to them. Because those charges pay for messages that have already been delivered, they are consumed on use and are not refundable.

4. Renewals

Subscriptions renew so your service is not interrupted. You can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal; cancelling stops future charges and does not, on its own, refund a fee already billed for the current period. The money-back window in section 2 applies to new subscriptions, not to renewals.

5. Exceptions

Refunds may not be available where an account has been terminated for a breach of our Terms & Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy. We assess every request fairly and in line with applicable consumer-protection law, which may give you rights beyond this policy.

6. How to request a refund

Email support@smartengage.tech from the address on your account, with the details of the charge you would like refunded. We aim to review every request promptly and will let you know the outcome and, where approved, the timeline for the refund to reach you.
